How to bug in/out

In this class we will be talking about the necessities, planning, process, mindset, and action necessary to effectively prepare for a widespread catastrophic scenario, from natural disaster to civil unrest. The first decision is always whether to stay or go, so we will start with how to make that call and what conditions should drive it.

From there, we will address equipment, gear, food, water, and medical supplies. We will cover defensive strategies to harden your position, and the implements you will need to bug in effectively. We will also dive into constructing a readiness plan to evacuate and execute your movement to your fallback position.

Tactical First-Aid

This will be a class on hasty casualty care, the basics of preserving life against wounds that would be commonly sustained during a defensive scenario. We will go through the gear you should have in your med kit, why you need it, and how, when, and where to use it. We will cover the lifesaving procedures and processes to help you diagnose and treat properly, as well as the follow-on actions once care has been rendered.

Church Safety

Feeling safe in a place of worship is something anyone of any faith should have the right to. Unfortunately, that is not the situation in the world today. We invite all members of religious congregations to attend a seminar on the fundamentals of safety in our most sacred of environments. This invitation is extended specifically to security staff and to those who assist with services. We will go over identifying threats, addressing soft points, coordinating and structuring teams, contingency plans, threat response, and safely directing and evacuating congregants.

Pistol / Rifle Skill Development

For intermediate – advanced shooters. Topics covered: holster work, reloads and malfunctions, off axis shooting, barricades and alternate positions, rifle manipulation, multiple target engagement, weapon transitions, shooting and moving.

Gear list:

Pistol – 300 rounds, 2 magazines (more recommended), holster required (OWB preferred)

Rifle  – 400 rounds, multiple magazines, sling, must have a sight / optic

Magazine pouches, caddies, or carriers recommended but not required, can use a vest or belt rig, allowed to work out of pockets (not preferred)

Closed toe shoes required, pants highly recommended, long sleeves preferred. (OUTDOOR)

Hearing and eye protection required

- 3 Oct. 2026, 9:00am - 3:00pm:

Active Threat Scenarios (CCW)

This is an intermediate class, but encouraged for all levels of shooters with holster experience. In this class we will cover some basics, from a live fire standpoint, of CCW technique. Firstly, working on / assessing drawing from concealment, target identification, target / multiple target engagement and disengagement, and seated positions. Then for the remainder of the day we will be conducting active scenarios, mindset on when to engage or de-escalate, shoot / no shoot, scene control, follow-on action, and the aftermath.

Gear list:

Handgun - 300 rounds, 2 magazines (minimum), holster (concealed recommended)

Hearing and Eye protection REQUIRED

Closed toe shoes, pants (recommended), sun protection (recommended)

Kinetic Engagements

- Private range located in East County, San Diego, 91905 (contact for more information)

Intermediate / Advanced class. The focus is on high mobility, utilizing and manipulating your environment, team action, working under high stress, mentality, and decision-making. Familiarity with weapon systems is expected for this class. Comfort with manipulation, transitions, and malfunctions is expected of students who attend. Barricades, vehicles, and nearly 360 degree shooting environments are all in play here. The class will conclude with a competition run on an assembled course to apply and test all skills worked on throughout the day, and the winner will be rewarded.

Gear list:

Rifle – 500+ rounds, multiple magazines, sling, zeroed optic

Pistol – 500 rounds, multiple magazines, HOLSTER

Kit – Full kit is welcomed, plate carrier, belt, Kevlar (helmet). Most importantly, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, a place to carry magazines.

Hearing and eye protection REQUIRED

Closed toe shoes, pants (recommended), sun protection (recommended)
